Three people face charges after a drug raid that turned up marijuana, cocaine and oxycodone in St. Lawrence County.
It happened Wednesday shortly before 6 p.m. at the town of Stockholm home of 37 year old Gerald Benway III.
Sheriff's officials arrested Benway, 39 year old Samantha Michael of Norwood and 28 year old Justin Woodward of Potsdam.
They were all charged with counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Benway allegedly possessed approximately 18 grams of cocaine and approximately 21 ounces of marijuana in his home where a child under the age of 17 resided. He was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
Woodward allegedly possessed a small amount of cocaine and Michael allegedly had a small amount of cocaine as well as oxycodone pills.
Woodward and Michael were each issued appearance tickets and are due to answer the charges in Stockholm Town Court on December 5.
Benway was released to the custody of the county probation department.
The sheriff’s office was assisted by members of the St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force, Norfolk Police Department, Ogdensburg City Police Department, New York State Police and Border Patrol.
The investigation is ongoing with further charges pending.
