Watertown's Festival of Trees is ready to be seen by the public.

The doors opened at the Dulles State Office Building at 5 p.m. Thursday so people could look at several different Christmas trees decorated by residents and businesses.

There are 83 trees this year, 11 of them decorated by Watertown school district.

"This is our biggest tree year yet, so we are up quite a bit from last year," said Emily Soderquist, who's experience manager at Samaritan Health. "This is probably one of the most magical events that Watertown has, in my opinion, so it's nice to be part of it and kick off the season the right way."

All the trees will be auctioned off. The proceeds will be split between Samaritan Health and the Watertown YMCA.
