No Jail Time For Woman Who Entered Plea In Teen Rape Case

Posted: Updated:

There will be no jail time for a Lewis County woman who entered a plea last month in a teen rape case.

Jill O'Connor of Brantingham was sentenced Friday in county court to six years probation. O'Connor will have to register with the state as a Level 1 sex offender. An order of protection was also issued for the victim.

In October, she pleaded guilty to third-degree attempted rape.

O'Connor was arrested in January for allegedly having sex with an underage boy.

State police said the 40 year old O'Connor had sexual contact with a 15 year old in December 2017.

She was originally charged with third-degree rape and third-degree criminal sexual act.
