Fowler Woman Killed In Weekend Crash

A 95 year old Fowler woman was killed in a crash over the weekend in St. Lawrence County.

State police said Anna Reilly died after two cars collided at the intersection of State Highway 58 and Country Club Road in the town of Fowler.

It happened Sunday morning.

According to police, 93 year old John Reilly Jr. of Fowler was driving on Country Club Road, when he went through stop sign at the intersection of Route 58 and struck a car driven by 83 year old Marlene Watson of Gouverneur.

John Reilly was taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital for chest and back pain and head lacerations. He was listed in stable condition as of Wednesday morning. 

Anna Reilly was a passenger in his car. She was also rushed to Canton-Potsdam Hospital, where she later died. An autopsy determined the cause of death to be blunt force trauma.

Watson was transported to Gouverneur Hospital with a minor knee injury.
