Gifts are starting to pile up under the Christmas tree at the Lewis County Chamber of Commerce.
It's all part of the Homeless Christmas Tree Initiative put on by the Lewis County Youth Bureau.
The community is being asked to donate personal hygiene items and other supplies to help those who are homeless start over.
Baby clothes, diapers, and gift cards for the elderly are also being collected.
"Last year the items we collected we helped over 168 people and families in the community with these items. It is very well used throughout the year and we are just keeping our supplies up," said Scott Mathys, Lewis County Youth Bureau.
Volunteers will be packing up the donated items on the 27th and sending them to local agencies.
