Thomas G. Wilson, 60, of Norfolk

Norfolk - Thomas “Tommy” G. Wilson, age 60, of County Route 36, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Tommy was born to the late Thomas G. and Justine (Putnum) Wilson on December 31, 1957, in Massena, NY.  He attended Massena School, graduating in 1975. In 1979, Tommy began an almost 15-year marriage with Patricia Martin, wherein they share their three beautiful daughters.

Tommy’s memory is cherished and cared for by his three daughters Jessica (Jesse) Max of Round Lake, NY; Jamie (Chris) McCormick of Cohoes, NY; and Jodie (Chris) Buchanan of Ballston Lake, NY. He also leaves behind six beautiful grandchildren, Zelak and Ezra Max, Jordy and Charley McCormick, and Mason and Kade Buchanan. Also surviving Tommy are his sisters, Corinne and husband, Clifford “Tipper” Mattison, and Kathryn Laba and companion, Mike, both of Massena, along with his nephews, Jeremy and Josh Mattison, and nieces, Amanda and Amy Laba. Tommy was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Justine Wilson.

Tommy was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, and camp.  Tommy worked as an Iron Worker and was a gifted mechanic who loved to work with his hands. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, children, and grandchildren, and especially took pride in making venison jerky and canned goods for his daughters. 

Friends and family are welcome to call the Phillips Memorial Home, Massena, on Saturday, December 15, 2018, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M. with Fr. Tojo Chacko officiating. A burial will take place at the convenience of the family in the family plot in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Louisville.
