An Immaculate Heart Central 11th grader spearheaded a blood drive in her school's cafeteria Thursday.
Kennedy Lawler is an aspiring orthodontist who has been involved in community service since she started high school.
"It's good -- it makes you feel good inside to help people and it doesn't take that long it only takes a few minutes," she said. "So, it helps many people with your blood."
The blood drive was schedule to end at 1 p.m. Depending on how many pints of blood are drawn, Lawler can enter the chance to win a scholarship for college.
She says she'd like to go to the University of Buffalo.
