Former Beaver River Soccer Coach Facing Misdemeanor Charge

Posted: Updated:

A former Beaver River Central varsity soccer coach has been arrested by the Lewis County Sheriff's Office.

27 year old Richard Feistel of Dexter is charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a misdemeanor.

The arrest stems from an incident on September 14, 2018. A parent of a now-former soccer player has told 7News Feistel took their son's phone while on a bus ride from a game. The parents say Feistel used the social media app Snapchat to send out a picture of their son which had a caption that appeared to ask for nude pictures. In October, Beaver River school officials relieved Feistel of his coaching duties.
