Watertown's Edward Flanagan turns 100 years old on Tuesday.
On Saturday, his family and friends threw him a birthday party at Samaritan Keep Home.
Edward is a World War II veteran, serving as a tank driver in Europe. He's lived in Watertown ever since where he and his wife raised their family. Edward's daughters say he loves to sing and dance. One of his favorites is "The 12 Days of Christmas,", which is a song his wife and six kids would sing along with him.
"Yeah, we always liked that song," Flanagan said. "Joined together, I always had to be pointed out to sing my part of the song... 'five golden rings'"
When asked by his daughter why hitting 100 years old was so important to him, Edward said that he wanted to be able to start counting from 1 all over again.
