A fire in their rented trailer displaces an Edwards family of four Sunday.

The family was not home when a neighbor noticed smoke coming from the trailer at 5 Cross Street and called firefighters at about 5:10 p.m.

Edwards Fire Chief Richard Anson said when firefighters arrived they saw smoke coming from under the eaves.

They entered and found smoke and flames in a back bedroom. It only took about five minutes to knock the fire down, but two rooms were heavily damaged.

The fire started in the area of an electric space heater, but the exact cause remains under investigation.

The owner of the trailer is Justin Frizzell and the tenant Tim Raven.

The American Red Cross has been called to aid the family. They are staying with family in the area.

Firefighters from Harrisville, Star Lake and Fine also responded.
