Update: Massena Woman Charged In Alleged Fuel Theft

Posted: Updated:

UPDATE: State police arrested 21 year old Sierra D. Ackerman of Massena for allegedly failing to pay for the fuel. She was charged with petit larceny and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Ackerman was released with tickets returnable to Stockholm town court.

Following is our story from Tuesday morning:

State police are asking for help finding two women suspected of pumping gasoline at a West Stockholm convenience store Monday afternoon and driving away without paying.

Troopers say a gray car left the pumps at the Country Corner Mart on County Route 57 at around 12:30 p.m. without paying for $20 worth of gas.

The passenger, police say, pumped the gas and the driver entered the store, but didn't pay for the fuel.

The driver is about 5 feet, 5 inches tall with long brown hair and wearing a gray jacket.

The vehicle had two distinct stickers on the right rear quarter panel: a heart and a peace sign.

Anyone with information is asked to call Trooper Dominic Flint at 518-873-2750.
