It costs a buck for a bag that helps charity.
The Watertown Hannaford grocery store donates a dollar when you buy a reusable shopping bag.
The program is called "Hannaford Helps."
The money has helped 15 different groups so far. This month the money will go to the American Red Cross.
"It feels really good," manager David Anderson said. "It actually helps individual organizations and reduces plastic waste."
The Children's Home of Jefferson County and Knickerbocker Elementary School will be the next groups receiving the donations.
