Happy About It Or Not, North Country Always Ready For SnowPosted: Updated:
Snow is back on the ground in Watertown and some people say they didn't mind having to get their snow blowers out.
"Been doing it for all the time I lived in Watertown," Jim Baker said. "It just makes it easier really, though, because you don't have to shovel it."
A few even said that cleaning snow is good exercise, while others told us they weren't happy to see snow flakes.
Even though people in Watertown had a mixed reaction to the snow, for some people taking care of the snow is all part of another day on the job.
The guys at Jake's Lawn Care were all out plowing driveways and businesses early Wednesday morning.
Snow plower Michael Prevost says it's been a pretty mild season so far, but getting back into the swing of things isn't all that hard.
"It's not too bad," he said. "We all have our own route and we all know what our route is. It takes an average of five to six hours to do each route."
The lack of this snow this season hasn't affected the business much because most of their clients have a yearly plow contract.
"If your seasonal, you're paying for the season no matter if it snows 30 times or twice," Prevost said.
While the plowers wait for the snow to come in the next few days, so are the people in the north country.
