Travel was slow-going Friday for people trying to get to Cornwall, Ontario by crossing the Seaway International Bridge near Massena.
Canadian customs officials say a water main burst around 4 a.m. under the road leaving the port of entry on the Canadian side.
Cross-border processing was set up in the bridge toll booth for several hours while Cornwall city crews worked to fix the problem.
Customs officials say they now have three lanes open at the port of entry. Commercial traffic is being diverted to the Ogdensburg-Prescott International Bridge.
Cornwall Public Works is working on finding what caused the problem and how to fix it.
Travelers can expect delays.
