A woman was critically injured in a stabbing Friday morning, according to St. Lawrence County District Attorney Gary Pasqua.

The woman was taken to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse. Her injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, Pasqua said.

State police were called to a home on Plum Brook Road off Route 56 in the Town of Norfolk early Friday morning on a report of a domestic dispute, according to the county's 9-1-1 center.

In a photo from the scene, police could be seen near a trailer home.

Pasqua told 7 News that a man was taken into custody, but had not been formally charged as of mid-afternoon Friday.
