Watertown officials plan to give military families who don't live in the city a cheaper rate when skating at the municipal arena.

Military families would pay the same rate city residents pay.

The matter was discussed, but no action was taken at a city council work session Monday night.

Another proposal from the city's Parks and Recreation Department would allow children 4 years old and under to skate for free during public skate hours.

Votes on these proposals could happen next month.
