Watertown Pulls Snow Plows Off Roads

Posted: Updated:

The city of Watertown has pulled its snowplows off the road due to the intense snowfall.

Department of Public Works Superintendent Patrick Keenan told 7 News the conditions are too dangerous and there's zero visibility.

He said the decision was made in conjunction with Jefferson County declaring a state of emergency and issuing a no unnecessary travel ban.

Keenan said all 9 plows were pulled off the roads at 4:30 p.m.

He said some will return to duty as the visibility improves.
