Light Freezing Rain Causes Slippery Driving For Some

Posted: Updated:

It's above freezing in Lewis and Jefferson counties, but still below 32 degrees in St. Lawrence County.

That's why there's a winter weather advisory for the northern part of the county until 10 a.m.

Many school and organizations have delayed or closed because of a light freezing rain.

Things should warm up all over and the rain will pass, leaving the rest of the day mostly cloudy.

Highs will range from the mid-30s to the upper-40s, depending on elevation and how far north you are.

Rain showers return for the overnight hours. Rain will change to snow as temperatures drop throughout the day Tuesday.

Tuesday's highs will be early and will be around 40.

There's a chance of snow and sleet on Wednesday. Highs will be in the upper-20s.

Freezing rain will change to rain on Thursday and there's a chance of flurries on Friday. Highs will be in the mid- to upper-30s both days.

It will be in the teens on Saturday and in the 20s on Sunday, with mostly sunny skies for the weekend.
