The Massena Memorial Hospital board of managers has a new chairperson and secretary.
At an emergency meeting Tuesday night, Carol Fenton was elected chair and Lenore Levine was chosen to be secretary,
The meeting came during an ongoing controversy over the hospital's future.
The cash-strapped hospital is trying to transition from town ownership to a private, nonprofit entity.
The path to get there has sparked heated debate.
The vacancies came after Massena Town Supervisor Steve O'Shaughnessy axed then-hospital board chair Susan Bellor last month.
The board secretary resigned days later.
