A new coach and a new attitude has lead to a volleyball Renaissance of sorts at South Jefferson.
The Spartans added a playoff title to their regular season crown last Saturday by beating Lowville in the Frontier League B Division final.
First-year varsity coach Becca Hare credits the girls for their success.
"I'm their biggest cheerleader, but they're the ones who put in the work -- they work hard every day in practice," the coach said. "They come to play and they compete and that's all I can ask for."

The 13-3 and third-seed Spartans host sixth-seed Christian Brothers Academy Thursday night.
