It will be windy and chilly for the whole north country Friday and snowy for some.
There's a high wind warning for Jefferson County and a wind advisory for Lewis County that end at 7 p.m.
A wind advisory for St. Lawrence County ends at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Winds could gust to 60 miles per hour for Jefferson County and to 50 miles per hour for Lewis and St. Lawrence counties.
Then there's the lake effect snow.
There a winter weather advisory as the wind whips across Lake Ontario.
Lake effect snow is expected to drop between 3 to 5 inches in the heaviest-hit areas of Jefferson and Lewis counties.
A lake effect band will eventually head south into Oswego County, where there's a winter storm warning until 1 p.m. Saturday. They're expected to get from 6 to 10 inches of snow.
