Rocking out all day in a hope for change. The 6th Anti-Violence Stop the Hate concert was held Saturday at Watertown's Maggie's on the River in an effort to promote anti-violence.

Around 15 musical acts were scheduled throughout the day covering a variety of genres. Bands played through 11 PM on Saturday.

"I just can't thank the community enough for grabbing the whole idea of really doing this, full extent. You know, when I reach out to people who are more than happy to help," said organizer, JP Voytko. "And I was a little shocked that they were so supportive of this. It's been growing almost double every year."

Proceeds from the event's silent auction go to an 18 month old named Izzie who is battling cancer.

7 News morning producer, Tim Greening emceed the event Saturday. 7 News is a sponsor of the event.
