A Watertown man was arrested Monday after police allegedly found a firearm and drugs at his home during a raid.

Members of the Metro-Jefferson Drug Task Force say 37 year old Bishme Smith, his wife and three young children were inside when police executed a search warrant at apartment P-6 at 1620 Huntington Street in Watertown.

Police say they found a Smith & Wesson .32-caliber revolver, about 8.3 grams of crack cocaine, a digital scale, supplies used to package drugs for sale, and a small amount of cash when they searched the home.

Smith was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

He was arraigned in Watertown city court and held in Jefferson County jail without bail.

Police say they are continuing to investigate and expect to make more arrests.
