Elaina Porter to Laney Smith for a three-pointer. Shacoria Jackson with the putback as Gouverneur leads 24-20. Canton's Esther Shipman with the buzzer beater to make it 24-22 at the half. Canton goes on to win the Section 10 Class B Title with a score of 53-44 over the Wildcats.

In the Section 10 Boys' Class B Championship it was Ogdensburg Free Academy against Canton. Blue Devils' Mecci Johnson inside for the basket. Jackson Jones on the next possession hits for 2. MeSean Johnson added two as O.F.A. opened a 10-4 lead. Canton's Noah Longshore gets the feed and the bucket. Tristan Lovely connects for two. It was Andy Downs to Ashton Close for the score, but O.F.A. claims the Section 10 Class B Title, beating Canton 65-46.

The J.C.C. women wrapped up a successful 2018-19 regular season Tuesday night with an 83 to 60 road win at Broome Community College to finish the regular season with a 15 and 6 mark, 9 and 3 in midstate play.

Now its time for the post season. The second seeded Lady Cannoneers are getting ready for opening round action in the Midstate Conference Tournament on Saturday at O.C.C. where they meet 3rd seed Tompkins Cortland Community College, a team J.C.C. defeated 74 to 65 Monday night and also beat earlier this season.

The Lady Cannoneers come into the contest winners of 6 of their last 8 games and 2 straight, averaging 70 points a game. The players are confident as they look for their first Midstate Conference tournament championship in almost 15 years.

Win or lose this weekend, the Lady Cannoneers advance to the Region 3 Division 3 Tournament and open with a home game on Tuesday night at the McVean Athletic Center.
