Lake Effect Snow On Tap For Tuesday

Parts of the north country will see lake effect snow throughout the day Tuesday.

And it's going to be cold for a few days.

A winter weather advisory is in effect for Jefferson and Lewis counties until 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Most of the snow is likely to fall over the Tug Hill, where they can expect from 5 to 9 inches.

An advisory for Oswego County ends at 10 a.m. Tuesday as the lake effect snow shifts north.

There's a winter storm watch for Oswego County from 7 p.m. Tuesday to 10 a.m. on Thursday because of a storm system that's expected to miss the north country.

Tuesday's highs will be in the upper-teens.

Temperatures top out around 20 degrees for Wednesday and Thursday, when skies will be partly sunny with only a small chance of snow.

It will be sunny on Friday and Saturday. Highs will be in the upper-20s on Friday and in the upper-30s on Saturday.

Sunday will be rainy with highs in the mid-40s.

There's a chance of snow on Monday. Highs will be in the mid-30s.
