It all began on Thursday night as Copenhagen captured the girls' Class D title, defeating Madison 39-29.
On Friday night, South Jefferson captured the girls' Class B crown, avenging a loss earlier in the season to Westhill 54-50.
The Frontier League fun continued on Sunday as the Lyme boys captured their first Class D sectional title in 41 years, beating DeRuyter 54-50.
Lyme Coach Leo Wilson was a member of that squad as a player.
"It was back in 1978 when we won the last one, so it's been 41 years, I think it has, and it really feels great -- these guys really worked their heart out this last two, three weeks," Wilson said. "They really demonstrated out here today under the pressure that they had from DeRuyter."
In the boys' Class B title game, Lowville beat league rival General Brown 77-47, an easier-than-expected win for the Red Raiders.
"It's unbelievable -- come out of the chute in a venue like this," Coach Zach Shambo said. "We come out on fire and just kept things going and defense did things for us."
All in all, it was a great weekend for the Frontier League in Section 3.
