April Lynn Roshia-Rivers of Adams Center NY, passed away surrounded by her family, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester NY, on March 3rd 2019 at approximately 12:30 a.m. at the age of 55.

April was born in Watertown NY to Wayne Sr. and Cindy Roshia on February 3rd 1964. She attended the General Brown school system and continued her education at Weber State University in Ogden UT. She devoted 33 years to the medical field. She started at the Samaritan Keep Home, then spent many years at the Cancer Treatment Center, and finished up her years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Samaritan Medical Center. She was very well received at work by both her coworkers and patients with glowing reviews and exceeding all expectations.

Her favorite thing was to be at her family's cottage on the Chaumont river where she would relax with her beloved Jett and family, sit by the fire and watch the stars, swim, kayak, and just enjoy the best things about life. April was a fiercely loyal and loving wife, daughter, mother, sister and friend. There wasn't anything you couldn't ask for that she wouldn't give in a heart beat. She was the voice of reason, the keeper of the peace, and the glue that held us all together. She was our everything and she will truly be missed by every single person that knew her.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband Terry Rivers, her sons Joshua(Telana) Youngs, and Jacob Youngs, her step-daughter Heidi (Gene) Crook, her loyal dog Jett, her parents Wayne Sr. and Cindy Roshia, her siblings Wayne Jr.(Belinda) Roshia, Jackie (Bruce) Barlow, Annette (Jeff) West, Michelle (Rich) Tarbell, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday March 8th from 2-4 and 7-9 at Johnson Funeral Home in Dexter, NY. Her funeral service will be held Saturday March 9th at 11am at the Immaculate Conception Church in Brownville, NY, and a Celebration of Life to follow at the Brownville Legion from 12-4. Burial will be in the spring in Brownville Cemetery . Online condolences may be made to dexterfuneralhome.com.
