Freeman Bus Has Been Sold

Posted: Updated:

Freeman Bus Corporation in Watertown has been sold.

Robert Freeman tells 7 News he sold the bus company, along with Clarence Henry Coach, on February 1 to a Connecticut company and a man by the name of Leif Petterson, who has been a consultant to Freeman for years.

Freeman said the value of his business "substantially diminished" after losing the Watertown City School District bus contract.

First Student won that contract and took over in July of last year.

According to Freeman, the new owner will continue operating Clarence Henry Coach and offering service to the Community Action Planning Council.
