Buildings Coming Down For Salvation Army Expansion
The process to expand Watertown's Salvation Army is underway.
The home next to the Salvation Army's property on State Street was demolished Wednesday.
That's where a new parking lot will be built.
The Salvation Army's kitchen will also eventually be added.
"The second step is to raise more money to make it a legitimate safe parking lot," Maj. Dennis Smullen said, "and to add on to the building, we are eventually going to have to have a capital campaign."
This is the second of three homes to be torn down for the expansion.
