If you think this winter has taken a heavy toll on our roads, you're not alone.
Governor Andrew Cuomo announced Thursday that $128 million in new state funding is earmarked for renewing state roadways impacted by this year's harsh winter weather.
Funding will support 91 paving projects and the renewal of approximately 1,000 lane miles of pavement across the state, including at least one project in every county and the city of New York.
Here are the projects slated for Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence counties:
- $1.3 million to resurface Route 12 from Route 26 to the St. Lawrence County Line in Jefferson County
- $510,000 to resurface Route 26 from County Route 38 to Carpenter Road in Lewis County
- $1.9 million to resurface Route 58 from County Route 8 to Route 37 in St. Lawrence County
The projects announced Thursday will begin this spring and will be completed later this year.
