The boil water advisory is lifted for several hundred customers in Gouverneur after a water main break Thursday afternoon.
The break happened at 3 p.m. and was fixed by 6 p.m. It affected people on Grove and Park streets and all residences on the west side of these streets to the village limits. Once it was fixed the boil water advisory was put in affect.
The advisory been was lifted Saturday morning.
Residents are "now able to use and drink the water without boiling it," Terry Simmons, superintendent of Public Works in the village said.
