A Winter Weather Advisory To Start The Week

A Winter Weather Advisory To Start The Week

Posted: Updated:

Another week, another weather alert to start it off.

Parts of the north country could see several inches of lake effect snow Monday and into early Tuesday.

Most of that should fall on the Tug Hill.

There's a winter weather advisory in effect for Lewis, Jefferson, and Oswego counties until 5 a.m. Tuesday.

Visibility could be poor at times and roads could be slippery.

The hardest-hit areas could see from 4 to 7 inches. High winds -- with gusts as high as 40 miles per hour -- will cause any snow to blow around and drift.

Monday's highs will be in the mid-30s.

Tuesday will be a little cooler, with highs around 30, but it will be mostly sunny after any morning clouds disperse.

It will be partly sunny on Wednesday with highs around 40.

We have a couple days of highs in the mid-50s. It will be mostly cloudy on Thursday and Friday with a chance of rain each day.

There's a chance of snow on Saturday, when highs will be in the upper-30s.

It will be partly sunny and around 30 on Sunday.
