Investigators Return To Find Cause Of Water Street Blaze

Posted: Updated:

Investigators are returning to the scene Monday to try to determine the cause of a fire on Water Street in Watertown on Sunday.

In a release Monday morning, city Fire Chief Dale Herman said the fire appears to have started in the paper-processing area of a building owned by Metal Man.

The 5,000-square-foot building was leased to a paper-shredding company.

Herman said fire investigators would use daylight to identify potential clues to what sparked the blaze.

The fire was reported around 5:30 p.m. Fire crews were on the scene until close to midnight.

No injuries were reported.
