A town of LeRay man allegedly attacked a Jefferson County sheriff's deputy who was serving the man an order of protection Wednesday evening.

Deputies say they were trying to serve the order and remove 31 year old Christopher Scott from his Bassett Street home when he resisted arrest and shoved the deputy.

The deputy suffered unspecified injuries.

Scott was charged with resisting arrest, second-degree assault, and first-degree criminal contempt.

He was arraigned in LeRay town court and sent to county jail on $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond.
