Lady Golden Knights Ready For Frozen Four

Posted: Updated:

March Madness continues on the ice for one north country women's hockey team.

The Clarkson Lady Golden Knights are looking for a three-peat this weekend in Hamden, Connecticut when they make their fifth appearance in the Frozen Four.

Winning has become the norm for Clarkson, with national titles in 2014, 2017, and 2018.

Coach Matt Desrosiers says his team is prepared for the challenge as they prepare to take on top-ranked Wisconsin in the semifinals. It's a team the Golden Knights defeated in 2017 for their second national championship.

"They've been put in these situations quite a bit the last couple of years and they don't get nervous, they just kind of stick with their guns," he said.

You can hear more from the coach in the video.

The puck is set to drop in the semifinal at 7 p.m. Friday.
