Friday Sports: Indian River Girls' Lacrosse Over O.F.A.

Girls' high school lacrosse and pro hockey were on the docket Friday night.

It was a Girls' Frontier League / N.A.C. Lacrosse matchup in Philadelphia as Indian River hosted O.F.A. 11 seconds in Indian River gets on the board. Abby Smith goes top shelf. Score: 1-0 Lady Warriors. 23 seconds later, its Emily Trudeau finding the mark, 2-0 Indian River. Off a free position, Smith scores her 2nd goal of the game. Score: 3-0 Indian River. Then it was Raven Marsell with a blast that tickles twine, 4-0 Lady Warriors. Bella Davis splits the pipes as Indian River beat O.F.A. 18-4.

In Girls' N.A.C. Lacrosse, Heuvelton visited Potsdam. Daysha Wagner ripped yarn, putting Potsdam up 1-0. Cyera McNamara countered for Heuvelton, tying the game. Josie Brusso gives Potsdam the lead back with a tally. McNamara scored her 2nd goal of the game to tie the score at 2 then Brusso gets her 2nd goal of the game to put Potsdam back up. Dakota Mouthurp dents the back of the net to tie it at 3 and Brusso answers with one of her 6 goals as Potsdam beats Heuvelton 12-9.

In Federal Hockey League action from the Watertown Fairgrounds Ice Arena, the Wolves hosted Elmira. The Wolves get on the board first as Anton Kalinin lites the lamp, putting the Wolves on top 1-0. The Enforcers tie it up on the power play, Mitch Atkins splits the pipes. The game tied at 1 after the first period. Elmira beats the Wolves 5-3.
