Want To Get Rid Of Your Couch? Call Habitat For Humanity

Posted: Updated:

Last week we told you about abandoned couches appearing along some curbs in Watertown. The owners apparently believed city crews will pick them up.

Now the Habitat For Humanity ReStore says it will pick up your used couch , but there's a catch.

When it comes to kicking couches to the curb, the ReStore won't accept those.

They want you to call ahead if you're looking to get rid of used furniture in good condition. The store offers a pickup service and the items will get resold at a low cost.

"We make arrangements if it's left on a porch or something like that. I'd rather not have them left out to the weather because they could get ruined," said John DeVito, store manager.

The ReStore picks up used furniture four days a week. If interested, call Habitat at 315-785-0308.
