It was a dedication to victims and survivors of violence and crime.
The Victims Assistance Center of Jefferson County dedicated a bench outside of its offices on Washington Street in Watertown on Thursday.
The staff gathered for a small ceremony with a dedication speech.
The center dedicated the bench this week because it is National Crime Victims' Rights Week.
"This week commemorates and brings focus towards victims and survivors of violence and crime in our nation," said Jill Parker, executive director, Victims Assistance Center.
A plaque will be added to the bench, which will stay in the front yard of the Victim's Assistance Center.
