JCC Students Relax During Spring Fest

JCC Students Relax During Spring Fest

Posted: Updated:

When you plan an event outside, you dream of a day like Wednesday with sunshine and mild temperatures. It worked out for Jefferson Community College's Spring Fest.

“It's a way for students to get out have some fun, de-stress from college. You know, finals are on their way. So this is just a time for them to have a good time," said Clifton Harcum, JCC resident hall director.

Harcum says Spring Fest is well deserved for his residents and the rest of the students at JCC.

The sunshine Wednesday brought students out to celebrate the end of the semester.

“It's the end of the semester. We wanna have fun. Get a break from finals. Yeah, a break from finals too, so you know we are just enjoying it," said Dziko Philips and Jalen llano, students.

Students headed to the quad to grab a bite to eat, enjoy live entertainment, and even bounce around before final exams.

And even with exams, Oscar Middleton, a student from Australia, says he can see the finish line.

"Everyone's kind of stressed in terms of exams and stuff but we’ll get through it. We’ll be alright," he said.

Students will be finished with exams next week and those graduating will walk across the stage for graduation Friday, May 17.
