Canton Students Learn About Careers In Trucking, Outdoors

Banford Elementary students get trucking on future careers.

This is the end of the road for four career days at Canton's Banford Elementary. It's truck day. A hard downpour hardly dampened the enthusiasm.

Students got an early look at jobs trucking and outdoors. There were fire trucks to climb into.

Frontloaders, a utility truck and an Army vehicle were all in the lineup. They say it's never too early to get pumped about a career.

“It's like super exciting to see like all these people working. What they do for a living,” said Ashlyn Beeles, Banford Elementary 4th grader.

“You never know when you're going to set an idea in a kid's head to be … 'I can do that when I grow up! I didn't know that was a job,'” said
Samantha Sherwood, Banford Parent Organization volunteer

And at the end of every work day, there should be a reward of course.
