Mooers Man Allegedly Breaks Into Home & Fires Weapon

A Clinton County man is accused of breaking into a town of Oswegatchie home, brandishing a firearm, and firing the weapon.

State police say the shot Michael Willette of Mooers, N.Y. allegedly fired in the State Route 812 home hit a cell phone.

The 60 year old Willette, who fled the scene on a motorcycle, was stopped on State Route 122 in Westville in Franklin County.

He was charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree menacing, and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Willette was arraigned in Massena town court and sent  to St. Lawrence County jail on $15,000 bail or $30,000 bond.
