CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV/Gray News) – A line worker was electrocuted while servicing a neighborhood in North Carolina on Wednesday.

According to officials, the Duke Energy employee was electrocuted around 2:35 p.m. on Wandering Creek Drive in northwest Charlotte.

A statement from Duke Energy said:

“Earlier this afternoon a fatality on Wandering Creek Drive in Charlotte involved one of our line workers. Our hearts go out to our teammate’s family and fellow coworkers. We are currently investigating the incident to learn more and ask for privacy for the family at this time.”
